Digital Blasphemy - If you're getting tired of looking at Windows' lame default wallpaper, then click over to artist Ryan Bliss' site for an awesome selection of free wallpaper art. There's all kinds of eye-popping, original images here, including surreal images, lovely outer space scenes and abstract stuff.

DHD Photo Gallery - This is a nice collection of "real-world-derived" images. Categories include food & drink, math, medicine & health, natural science, flowers, textures & surfaces, office motes, pasta, people, places, cactus, toilets, greenery and much more. Well, obviously you haven't viewed the masterpieces that Joan Stark has turned out. There's some pretty amazing stuff here, available for "personal use." Eirin's Gradient Backgrounds - If you're looking for gradient backgrounds (those that fade from one color into another), this is the place to go.
